In this 13-week study, we are exploring the profound and sometimes perplexing paradoxes found in Scripture and Christian teaching. From gaining by losing to finding strength in weakness, the Christian faith challenges us to embrace truths that seem to defy human logic. Each session will not only examine the biblical foundations of these paradoxes but also focus on their practical implications for daily living. How do we live out these tensions in our work, relationships, and spiritual growth? Through reflection, discussion, and real-life application, we will discover how these paradoxes invite us to a deeper, more transformative discipleship, shaping the way we engage with God, others, and the world around us.
Jesus’ ministry on earth was about learning, growing, and helping others. Teaching Biblical principles to our children and equipping them to serve others are essential dimensions of spiritual growth. In serving others, our kids learn friendship, selflessness, and humility. They learn that the life of faith is not about themselves but about others.
We are not a large church so your child is loved and nutured through small multiage classes (preschool, elementary, and teen). Because we are a multiethnic church that worships in two languages, some of our children speak English at home, others speak Spanish. Our classes for preschool and elementary are generally taught in English often with a bit of Spanish mixed in. As one of our children noted "I can usually decode it". Because most of our teens first language is Spanish, our teen class is currently taught in Spanish with some English mixed in.
