The season of Epiphany is a time of revelation, when the light of Christ shines into the world and reveals the nature of God’s kingdom breaking into human history. Beginning with the visit of the Magi, Epiphany celebrates the truth that Jesus is not just the Savior of Israel but the light for all nations. Throughout this season, the gospel stories invite us to see how God’s reign transforms lives, overturns expectations, and calls us to live as citizens of a kingdom where love, grace, and justice prevail. From Jesus’ baptism and His first miracle to His teachings and transfiguration, the season of Epiphany reminds us that God’s kingdom is both already here and yet to come, breaking into the world and into our lives with power and hope. Together, we look for the signs of God’s kingdom among us and listen for His call to follow.
The sermon each week will focus on the gospel readings. If you are not using Vanderbilt’s Lectionary website yet, now would be a great time to do so.
Join us each Sunday at 10:30 for Woship.
